Receipts from the gambling business tax in the Vitebsk region more than doubled in 9 months

Receipts of gambling tax in the Vitebsk region for 9 months increased by more than 2 times compared to the same period in 2011, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. Gambling tax receipts totaling almost Br16 billion were transferred to the consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region in January-September, which accounted for 0.2% of the total receipts in the region. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in gambling tax receipts in actual prices by Br8.6 billion. At the same time, the growth rate reached 216.6%. According to tax inspectorates, 9 business entities operating in the gambling sector are registered in the Vitebsk region, of which 8 are registered with the tax authorities in Vitebsk and one in Novopolotsk. As of October 1 of the current year, there are 1001 objects of taxation with gambling tax located in the Vitebsk region. -0-
