Increased environmental quality coefficients have been established in 17 settlements in the Vitebsk region

October 1, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Increased environmental quality coefficients have been established in 17 settlements of the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk region inspection of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties informed a BELTA correspondent. Real estate tax and land tax rates are set by district and city councils of deputies. For the calculation of real estate tax, district and city executive committees have established environmental quality coefficients, which take into account changes in the cost of real estate depending on its location in a particular settlement: distance from the center, transport accessibility, provision of social infrastructure facilities, environmental and other factors affecting living conditions. For rural settlements, the environmental quality coefficient is usually 1.0. In 13 district centers and four cities of the region, the environmental quality coefficient is higher than 1.0. The application of coefficients has allowed for an additional Br1.1 billion in real estate tax to be calculated for the budget. The total amount of accrued real estate and land taxes from individuals amounted to Br47.1 billion. In fact, Br23.1 billion will be transferred to the budget. The remaining amount, Br24 billion, is attributable to individuals entitled to benefits in accordance with the law. In addition, 79 individuals were granted benefits by decisions of local authorities. The region has about 325,000 real estate taxpayers and 336,000 land payment taxpayers registered, which is 28% of the region's population. Compared to 2011, the number of real estate taxpayers and accounted properties for this payment has increased, while the number of land tax payers and properties for land tax has decreased. The region's tax service draws the attention of citizens who own, use, possess, or lease land plots, as well as private houses, summer cottages, garages, and other structures, to the timeliness of paying accrued and payable amounts of real estate tax and land payments to the budget. The law sets the payment deadline as November 15. -0-
