Dear residents of the region!
I congratulate you on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia!
The Belarusian-Russian partnership has become a driving force for integration processes in the post-Soviet space. The course towards deepening the construction of the Union is a necessity and a conscious choice of the peoples. Together, we are creating a single trade and economic space, striving to bring legislation closer in all spheres of life. A common defense and military-technical policy, joint development of space programs and nuclear energy testify to the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation.
We had much in common in the past, we value our common present, and we are building our future together. Strong ties are being built at the interregional level based on good neighborliness. Agreements between the regional, city, and district executive committees of the Vitebsk region and the regions of the Russian Federation contribute to the deepening of partnership. The implementation of joint projects serves to improve people's well-being.
We actively cooperate in the fields of education, culture, and sports. A vivid example is the International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk," supported by the Union State, as a celebration of global significance, whose motto is "Through Art – to Peace and Mutual Understanding."
From the bottom of my heart, I wish the residents of the region, our Russian friends and partners success in their creative work, health, happiness, and well-being! May the boldest plans come true, and may peace and harmony reign in our common Belarusian-Russian home!
