For us, May 1st is not only a day of solidarity of the working people, but also a tribute of deep respect to the working people, a confirmation of the principles of social justice, a source of inspiration for citizens to new achievements and good deeds.

We honor the front-runners of production, the workers of factories, fields and farms, those who teach, educate children and youth, take care of our health, maintain order and security, and improve the Dvina region.

In the Year of Thrift, we are embarking on a large-scale modernization of the economy. First of all, it is necessary to ensure careful, rational use of material, financial, and labor resources in all areas. It is important to implement modern technologies, the latest equipment for the production of high-quality, competitive products, and to be intolerant of all manifestations of mismanagement.

No matter what "smart" machines and technologies come to our aid, nothing can replace the Working Person. Conscientious, selfless labor in modern conditions remains the main resource for social development.
