Dear residents of Vitebsk region!

I sincerely congratulate Orthodox Christians on the bright holiday of the Nativity of Christ!

For two millennia, the grandeur of Christmas has given people hope, faith, and love. These eternal values inspire us to noble deeds, help us strengthen our understanding of biblical commandments, and teach us patience and compassion. In the bright Christmas days, our hearts are filled with the joy of celebrating love for our neighbor, goodness, and mercy.

Labor for the benefit of society helps us preserve peace and tranquility on earth, resist vanity and discord, and fills our lives with true meaning.

The Orthodox Church makes a significant contribution to the preservation and enrichment of spiritual and moral traditions. The Program of measures for cooperation with the Vitebsk and Polotsk dioceses is being implemented in the region, and a constructive dialogue between the authorities and the church is underway, within the framework of which important social issues are being resolved.

May the light of the Star of Bethlehem illuminate our path to a dignified and happy life.
