Dear veterans and soldiers of the Armed Forces,

residents of the Vitebsk region!

I congratulate you on the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus!

In Belarus, military service has been honored since ancient times. The defense of one's home, the Motherland, is the primary duty, the fulfillment of which is a matter of honor and conscience for every person.

In the year of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, we pay tribute to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces of all generations, those who defended our people's right to freedom and independence, the opportunity to be masters of their native land. Their main lesson for us is selfless devotion and service to the Fatherland.

Today we honor those who stand guard over the security of the Motherland, those who have served, and those who will perform their military duty. Courage, patriotism, strength of spirit, and professionalism will always be a reliable guarantee of the stability of the state and society.
