Dear residents of the region!

Dear veterans!

I cordially congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 69-th anniversary of the liberation of the country from the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War!

The holiday of liberation has become a symbol of national pride, valor and glory, a spiritual shrine that has a huge impact on the formation of the self-consciousness and character of the Belarusian people.

Traditionally, on this memorable day, we pay tribute to the courage and heroism of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters, the dedication of home front workers, and honor the memory of those who died in the struggle for freedom and independence.

Our statehood is rooted in the history of the Principality of Polotsk, where a thousand years ago the prototype of the Belarusian nation was born. We have gone through a difficult path of state-building, economic and social development, overcoming difficulties and hardships, and have taken a worthy place in the international community.

Loyalty to the ideals of building a strong sovereign state is a characteristic feature of the residents of the Pridvinye region, as well as the entire Belarusian people. Vitebsk region has always bravely resisted external enemies. Today, with selfless labor, we are strengthening the socio-economic and defense potential of Belarus, improving our cities and villages.

Dear veterans, please accept our wishes for long life, health, and well-being!

Dear residents of Vitebsk region, youth!

May new labor achievements and success accompany you in your activities for the benefit of the Fatherland!

I wish you health, peaceful skies, mental balance, happiness, and well-being.

Happy Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, dear friends!

Sincerely,

Alexander Kosinets,

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee
