Congratulation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee A.N. Kosinets on Culture Worker's Day
Dear cultural workers of Vitebsk region!
I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday – Day of Cultural Workers!
On this day, we honor employees of museums, libraries, theaters, cultural centers, creative groups, all those who work for the revival of Belarusian culture and multiply the spiritual traditions of the Dvina region.
The development of culture and the preservation of national heritage are priority areas of state policy, contributing to the development of the creative potential of every person. Annually, about 100,000 mass events are held in the Vitebsk region, including 9 international festivals and competitions. Among them are the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" Arts Festival, the festival of modern choreography and music named after I. Solertinsky, and festivals of traditional culture in Polotsk, Postavy, Dubrovno, Braslav. In the Vitebsk region, there are about 4,000 amateur creative groups, 11 of which have the honorary title "Honored Amateur Group of the Republic of Belarus".
The region leads the republic in the development of folk crafts and arts. Modern Belarusian culture is also enriched by more than 130 new-type club institutions operating in the region.
The Vitebsk art school once gained worldwide recognition. Currently, a project for the scientific concept of the Yu. Pen Museum has been developed, and restoration work is underway to create a memorial museum of the Vitebsk People's Art School, where M. Chagall and K. Malevich worked in the 1920s.
We are proud of the achievements of our famous countrymen and will always support those who, with their talent and skill, make a significant contribution to meeting the spiritual needs of society, and create masterpieces worthy of our time. The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has established annual awards for high creative achievements in the field of culture and art and for the support of talented youth from among students of children's art schools and colleges.
We are confident that thanks to your talents and dedicated work, you will continue to glorify the northern region of Belarus with new creative achievements.
I wish you, dear friends, health, happiness, inspiration, prosperity, and success in serving the Motherland and compatriots!
Sincerely,
Alexander Ksinets,
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional
Executive Committee
