Dear veterans and workers of the agro-industrial complex of Vitebsk region!

I congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of Agricultural and Food Industry Workers!

Your hard work, thanks to which food security is ensured, deserves high praise and the most sincere words of gratitude. The priorities of farmers include the creation of a modern innovative production base, increasing product competitiveness, boosting exports, and achieving self-sufficiency of organizations.

Positive changes are taking place in the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region: production volumes are growing, the “Clean Fields” program is being successfully implemented, the machine and tractor fleet of agricultural enterprises has been significantly updated with high-performance equipment, and dairy complexes are under construction. We are transitioning to a modern organization of milk production: farms are equipped with milking parlors and robots, and feed dispensers.

Since 2009, investments in the meat and dairy processing industry have amounted to 2.5 trillion rubles. Modernization and technical re-equipment of eight dairy and four meat processing enterprises have been carried out.

Further agrarian policy of the region is defined by the subprogram "VitAgro", included in the Regional Program for Innovative and Investment Development of the Vitebsk Region for 2011-2015. I am confident that with joint efforts, we will cope with the set tasks.

My deepest respect to you, dear veterans and workers of the agro-industrial complex of Vitebsk region, dear rural workers!

I wish you health, happiness, well-being, prosperity, and new achievements for the benefit of the Pridvinye region and the Republic of Belarus!
