Congratulation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee A.N. Kosinets on the occasion of the Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus
Dear veterans and soldiers of the Armed Forces, residents of the Vitebsk region!
I cordially congratulate you on the Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus!
The modern army fosters a true citizen – a patriot of his Motherland. Military labor and maintaining high defense capability contribute to strengthening the sovereignty of the state. Our Armed Forces successfully carry out tasks to ensure military security and reliable defense of the country. Today, great importance is attached to territorial defense, the training of mobilization resources, and troop management issues, including the use of new information technologies.
The territorial defense forces are ready to perform their tasks if necessary. This is evidenced by the clear interaction of the command bodies and territorial defense units of the Miory district within the framework of the combat readiness check of the republic's Armed Forces.
The residents of the Dvina region have always been worthy defenders of the Fatherland: on the Grunwald and Borodino fields, in the battles of the First World War.
The feat of the soldier at the walls of the Brest Fortress, near Moscow, in the Battle of Stalingrad, and at the Kursk Bulge during the Great Patriotic War has no statute of limitations. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus and the Vitebsk region from the Nazi invaders, we remember those who defended our people's right to freedom and independence, the opportunity to be masters in their native land. We bow our heads low to their memory! There is no holier duty than the defense of the Motherland.
I wish you health, happiness, well-being, success in service and work! May there always be a peaceful sky and secure borders of our Fatherland!
Sincerely,
A.N. Kosinets,
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional
Executive Committee, Major General
