Congratulation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Glubokoe district

Dear residents of Glubokoe district!

 

I sincerely congratulate you on the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Glubokoe district.

 

The land of Glubokoe has given the world many glorious names. It is here that Ignat Buyanitsky, the founder of Belarusian professional theatre, artist and ethnographer Yuzef Drozdovich, historian and public figure Vaclav Lastovsky, aircraft designer Pavel Sukhoi, and other famous people were born. It is wonderful that in 2012, on the Day of the Republican Festival of Belarusian Written Language, a square of famous countrymen was solemnly opened in Glubokoe.

 

The feat of the older generation of Hlybokaye residents during the Great Patriotic War is reliably supported today by the deeds of their contemporaries. The workers of the district make a significant contribution to the economy and social development of the Pridvinye region. In the structure of industrial production, the region ranks fifth in the region after the cities of Vitebsk, Novopolotsk, Orsha and Polotsk districts. Modernization of the meat processing plant, the condensed milk plant, and the mixed feed plant is actively underway. The region's agrarians are confidently among the top three leaders in gross output production. Over the past few years, 16 dairy farms have been reconstructed, and a library, a city stadium, a school, a cultural center, an art school, and a home for disabled and elderly people have been built in the village of Mosar.

 

The International Catholic Festival of Christian Films and TV Programs "Magnificat" has found its home in the Glubokoye region, with participants from 16 countries. The "Cherry Festival" has gained wide recognition. ”

 

New approaches to preserving historical and cultural heritage reflect the changes in our society. We are becoming wiser, learning to cherish Christian shrines, and developing traditions.

 

I sincerely wish the residents of Gluboksky District health, happiness, peace, and well-being!

 

May your enthusiasm for good deeds and new achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland never fade!
