We congratulate you on the Day of National Unity!
This is the youngest national holiday, but its origins go back centuries. Twists of history have repeatedly tested Belarus, but unity and cohesion of the people, based on love for their native land, have always triumphed. Its defense became a unifying cause for people of different nationalities, social classes, and faiths. In the most difficult times, our compatriots stood shoulder to shoulder, selflessly fought for the freedom and independence of their Motherland. Internal strife retreated before this, attempts to conquer and bring our country to its knees were ruined. The moral ideals that helped Belarusians overcome any difficulties and win in the most complex circumstances are relevant in the new historical conditions.
Having adopted the best from the Soviet era, Vitebsk region multiplies this heritage and contributes to strengthening Belarusian statehood, ensuring peace and stability in the country. Our contemporaries set the benchmark of our time, filled with the highest meaning: to benefit society and the Fatherland. Caring for people is the main priority of all actions and aspirations. Today, our efforts are aimed at consolidating positive trends in the economy and social sphere, and improving the quality of life of the region's population.
