The Government of Belarus has set a resource saving target for 2011

January 31, Minsk /Corr. BELTA/. The Belarusian government has set a resource saving target for 2011. The decision is contained in Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 83 of January 25, 2011, the press service of the Belarusian government informed BELTA. The document defines the resource saving target for 2011 as the ratio of the growth rate of production costs (works, services) to the growth rate of production volume (works, services) at current prices minus taxes and duties accrued from revenue, calculated based on state statistical reporting data. Tasks for resource saving in the form of a coefficient have also been established for republican government bodies, regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee. They, in turn, must differentiate and communicate the resource saving target for 2011 to the state organizations and business entities subordinate to them. The Ministry of Economy must approve the methodology for calculating the resource saving target within 15 days and, together with republican government bodies, monitor its implementation. Information on the achievement of this target for the first half of the year and for the full year will be submitted to the government. The resolution was adopted in accordance with Directive No. 3 of June 14, 2007 "Economy and thrift are the main factors of the state's economic security." -0-
