The Government of Belarus has approved measures for the implementation of the budget law for 2025
The Government of Belarus has approved measures for the implementation of the budget law for 2025. This is stipulated by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of February 13, 2025, No. 89, which has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The document establishes the specifics of financing budget expenditures in 2025, as well as lists of departmental decisions that need to be prepared and approved in the current year for the implementation of the law.
In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food is required to submit, in the prescribed manner, a draft resolution of the Council of Ministers by March 1, 2025, defining the physical volumes of procurement (excluding debt repayment) of fuel and lubricants and mineral fertilizers using subsidies.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications is required by March 1, 2025, to determine, in agreement with the Ministry of Finance, the procedure for using funds from the republican civil aviation fund allocated for financing work to maintain the operational readiness of airfields and airports. The Ministry of Transport also needs to establish, in agreement with the Ministry of Finance and regional executive committees, the procedure for compensating part of the costs for maintaining the infrastructure of regional airports from the respective local budgets.
The resolution comes into force after official publication and applies to relations that arose from January 1, 2025.
