Law enforcement officers will be on duty around the clock at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk"
"To serve in such an intense mode, considering the weather conditions, our colleagues from other regions will arrive: on the road safety line, patrol and post details. The organization of this work will be taken under special control," noted Andrei Lyubimov.
"Slavianski Bazaar" will host about 5,000 participants and guests from 33 countries, so the safety of arrivals will be the number one issue for law enforcement officers. All 30 venues where festival events will take place will become zones of increased attention for the police. Access to the main concert venue, the Summer Amphitheater, will be possible by passing through one of the checkpoints where Vitebsk OMON officers will be on duty. A total of 36 such checkpoints will be equipped. Separate entry points, marked with special signs, will be organized for veterans, pensioners, pregnant women, and parents with children. All checkpoints to the festival stage will be equipped with video surveillance cameras.
In addition to guarding the festival facilities, the Internal Affairs Directorate staff will patrol the streets around the clock, including the "City of Masters" and pedestrian zones where courtyards will be located.
Round-the-clock duty will be provided in the citizenship and migration units. "As of today, about 300 people arriving from other countries have already been registered," said Andrei Lyubimov. He added that by order of the President, festival guests are exempt from paying state duty for temporary stay registration. If citizens of other countries wish to stay in hospitable Belarus for more than 10 days, they will need to register with the internal affairs bodies at their place of stay or through the electronic services portal portal.gov.by.
A prominent event of the festival will be the Ministry of Internal Affairs' "For Safety Together" campaign. For four days, interactive games, exhibitions, performances by creative teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, demonstration performances by cynologists with service dogs, and other interesting events will be held at various venues in Vitebsk. "Those who visit all the venues, post photos on social media with the hashtag #ЗАБЕЗОПАСНОСТЬВМЕСТЕ and subscribe to the official accounts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on VKontakte and Instagram, will be able to participate in the drawing for the grand prize - a mountain bike on July 18," noted the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee.
