Pre-New Year discounts in Vitebsk's trade reach 50%

Pre-New Year discounts in Vitebsk retail outlets reach 50%, as reported today at a press conference at the city executive committee.

Retail outlets have decorated their sales floors for the holidays and are organizing promotions with discounts on hundreds of food and non-food items ranging from 10% to 50%.

Specifically, the "Vesta" retail chain offers over 300 types of products with discounts from 15% to 50%, including meat and fish products, fruits, and vegetables. At the "Green" shopping center, starting December 9, more than 50 types of goods for preparing holiday meals will be sold at a 15-20% discount, and on December 23, a promotion will be announced to expand the discounted range to 230 items. "Euroopt" stores are holding weekly "Red Price" promotions with a specially selected assortment of holiday goods.

At the Vitebsk Department Store, several manufacturing enterprises have reduced prices by lowering their trade margins. The "Buslik" children's goods store offers discounts from 30% to 50% on a range of toys. Additionally, this retail outlet, located within the "Marko-City" shopping and entertainment center, will participate in a special Black Friday event on December 25, selling a wide assortment of goods at half price. Other tenants of the shopping and entertainment center will also reduce their prices by up to 50% for one day.

"To ensure uninterrupted supply of New Year's assortment goods to the population, the retail network offers a wide selection of champagne and sparkling wines, as well as sweet gift sets. Industrial enterprises began producing products with New Year's symbolism in December," noted Nadezhda Beresneva, Head of the Trade and Services Department of the city executive committee. For example, enterprises of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom" plan to produce thematic cakes such as "Holiday Calendar," "Starfall," "Parade of Planets," "Fairy Tales of Childhood," and others.

From December 5 to January 7, Saturday fairs for the sale of goods and products of own production by catering facilities will be held at three major venues in the city. According to the Department of Trade and Services, more than 30 thousand natural fir trees are planned to be sold in the pre-holiday period at specially organized bazaars at 27 sites in Vitebsk.
