The enterprise "Vic - Animal Health" has been recognized as the best resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk"

In 2013, the foreign enterprise "VEC - Animal Health" invested over 1 million dollars in the development of veterinary drug production. And in 2014, the company does not intend to reduce its investment activity, which will be required for the implementation of a large-scale modernization program.

Based on the results of last year's work, the enterprise was recognized as the best resident of the FEZ "Vitebsk". The award ceremony with the symbolic banner of the leader took place recently at the FEZ administration.

As reported to "Vitebskiye Vesti" by its director Oleg Chekunov, the main volume of investment in 2013 was directed towards the construction of a production facility for pet care cosmetics. The modernization process at "Vik - Animal Health" has been ongoing practically since its inception in 2002. Today, the company's investment portfolio includes the modernization of tablet production, a line for the production of powdered drug forms, as well as the construction of a finished goods warehouse. The estimated volume of capital investments in 2014 will be at least 1.2 - 1.3 million dollars. Incidentally, about 95% of "Vik - Animal Health" products are exported, mainly to Russia, as well as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Overall, the past year has been ambiguous for the residents of FEZ “Vitebsk”, although most of the projected financial and economic performance indicators were met. For example, the volume of attracted foreign investment amounting to 118 million dollars became a record for the FEZ history, including direct investment on a net basis (49.5 million dollars), the target was overfulfilled by almost half. The largest contribution was made by IP “Chess-Bel”, OJSC “Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant”, IOOO “LINPAK Packaging East”.
