Bellegprom enterprises will increase investment in fixed capital by 30% to Br291 billion in 2010.

November 18, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Enterprises of the "Bellegprom" concern plan to increase investment in fixed assets in 2010 by 30% to Br291 billion. This was announced by Vladimir Astrovsky, First Deputy Chairman of the concern, at the international scientific conference "New in the Technology and Engineering of the Textile and Light Industry," which is being held today at the Vitebsk State Technological University, according to a BELTA correspondent. Currently, the concern is implementing an innovative development program that provides for the re-equipment, primarily of the knitting and textile industries. In January-October, enterprises invested about Br181 billion in equipment renewal, or 148% compared to the same period in 2008. "If three years ago we managed to renew about 3% of fixed assets per year, today we plan to increase this figure to 10%," noted Vladimir Astrovsky. In 2008 alone, due to active investment activities, enterprises improved the condition of the main technological equipment by almost 10% (according to data as of January 1, 2009, the depreciation of the active part of fixed assets was 77.8% compared to 85% as of the beginning of 2008). Comprehensive technical re-equipment allows the concern's enterprises not only to maintain their production potential but also to increase output volume, and most importantly, to qualitatively improve the product range, emphasized Vladimir Astrovsky. In addition, according to data for the first half of the year, the concern as a whole managed to achieve positive results in other indicators. Thus, due to the introduction of new equipment and the development of advanced technologies, electricity savings amounted to Br3 billion, and savings in raw materials and materials are estimated at Br9.4 billion. In total, during the implementation of the state innovative development program, 17 facilities were commissioned, of which 13 production facilities have already reached their design capacity. In 2010, technical re-equipment will continue at RUPTP "Orsha Linen Mill," RUP "Baranovichi Cotton Production Association," GRUPP "Gronitex," OJSC "Brest Carpets," OJSC "Mogotex," OJSC "Polesie," and other enterprises of the concern, added Vladimir Astrovsky. -0-
