Household service enterprises of the Vitebsk region will cooperate and combine services
The Department of Consumer Services of the Vitebsk Region has developed options for cooperation between enterprises operating in this sphere, as reported by Pavel Belous, acting head of the state institution.
"Next year, we plan to develop cooperative ties among organizations offering various types of services. In particular, all household service complexes under our supervision organize the sewing of bed linen, including fabrics with 3D patterns. We have colorful brochures with these products. So why not put them in the lobby of a hairdresser's salon, where clients usually look through glossy magazines while waiting in line?" - noted Pavel Belous. If interested, a client can place an order right there at the hairdresser's, making a 30% prepayment. This service will be offered for the first time in a hairdresser's salon planned to open in January in the new residential area of Bilevo. 2423 business entities are engaged in consumer services in the Vitebsk Region, including 20 enterprises subordinate to the institution.
"Looking at our colleagues in the Mogilev and Gomel regions, we are also considering the issue of creating a holding company that would include enterprises providing consumer services in the region. But currently, the option of creating a single short number and operating as a dispatch service, having previously concluded agreements with small and medium-sized businesses, is more interesting. For example, a person calls a single number and says they need furniture assembly services, and we direct this order to a business entity from the list that matches the request and is not busy at the moment," - concluded Pavel Belous. Speaking about ideas for introducing new types of services, he mentioned concepts such as cartridge refilling services and organizing popular laser tag games on territories near Vitebsk. Demand and supply in rural areas and large cities differ, noted the interlocutor. Therefore, the key to successful competition with private businesses is to find the right niche.
"For example, the Dokshytsy enterprise "Bytovik" produces wood products in demand among the population: stairs, benches, fences, and equipment for animal care. In Shumilino, they are currently repairing monuments and roofs, planning to start producing paving slabs, and also utilizing the sawmill's capacity to fulfill orders from forestry enterprises," added Pavel Belous.
