Minsttrans enterprises directed about Br5.5 billion to energy-saving measures in January-March.
May 14, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Enterprises and organizations of the Ministry of Transport allocated about Br5.5 billion for the implementation of energy-saving measures in January-March of the current year, which allowed to fulfill the target indicator for energy saving at the level of minus 6.5% (with a target of - 5%). This was announced by Fyodor Pekar, Head of the Innovation, Scientific and Technical Activities and Engineering Support Department of the Ministry, in Vitebsk at a republican seminar on energy saving in the transport industry, a BELTA correspondent reports.
In 2010, the enterprises of the Ministry of Transport are tasked with ensuring the saving of fuel and energy resources in the amount of 47 thousand tons of conventional fuel and achieving an energy saving indicator of minus 8.5%. Based on the results of the first quarter, about 14.5 thousand tons of conventional fuel were saved, or 31% of the annual target. In general, it is planned to allocate over Br78.5 billion for the implementation of energy-saving measures this year.
At the same time, the specific costs of implementing energy-saving measures are increasing, noted Fyodor Pekar. If in 2006, about Br600 thousand was spent to achieve savings of one conditional ton of fuel in the Ministry of Transport system, then in 2009, Br1.3 million was spent, and for 2010, expenditures are planned at the level of Br1.7 million. Taking into account the current situation, the emphasis in the industry's energy-saving policy was placed on implementing measures with a payback period of 4-5 years, and today the possibilities for their implementation are largely exhausted. "It is necessary to gradually move from a low-cost and quickly payback saving model to an innovative energy saving model with high capital intensity and significant project payback periods," emphasized Fyodor Pekar.
Over the past 6 years, the energy intensity of products, works and services of the Ministry of Transport enterprises has decreased by more than 40%, while revenue has increased by 56%, and the consumption of fuel and energy resources (FER) has decreased by 6%. Based on the results of 2009, the consolidated energy costs in the industry decreased by 29 thousand tons of conventional fuel, or by 7% compared to 2008. The energy saving indicator was fulfilled at the level of minus 11%.
Annual FER consumption in the Ministry of Transport system is about 1.2 million tons of conventional fuel, or 2.5% of the total republican consumption. The main consumer of FER is Belarusian Railways (60%), while road, air and water transport enterprises account for about 30%, and organizations of the Belavtodor department account for 10%. -0-
