Vitebsk enterprises increased industrial production by 9% in January-April

This was announced today at the first session of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies of the 26th convocation by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin. By ensuring such a production growth rate, the city's enterprises will be able to fulfill the annual target set by the regional executive committee to increase the volume of output by 24% compared to last year's figures, ensure wage growth for employees, and fulfill the five-year target by November 1. Based on the results of the first four months of the current year, the industrial production growth rate was 109.1%, consumer goods - 105.4%, and the average monthly wage at enterprises and organizations of the regional center was Br1 million 69 thousand. Wages must be earned, emphasized Viktor Nikolaikin. One of the reserves for their increase is the unloading of warehouses. According to data for January-April, unsold products worth almost Br190 billion remain in the city's enterprises' warehouses. Although compared to last year, inventories decreased by more than Br50 billion, sales problems still exist. The Chairman of the City Executive Committee called on the new corps of deputies to promote the fulfillment of the city's socio-economic development forecast indicators, not to remain indifferent to the mandates of their constituents, and to work more actively with residents in their constituencies on the implementation of urban improvement programs.
