Enterprises of the Vitebsk concern "Meat-Dairy Products" reduced their warehouse stocks by 30% in July-August
September 17, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Enterprises of the Vitebsk concern "Meat and Dairy Products" reduced their warehouse stocks by 30% in July-August, the first deputy general director of the concern Valentina Vishnevskaya told a BELTA correspondent.
As of September 1, the total volume of finished products in stock, taking into account paid contracts, amounted to Br80.3 billion. 9 enterprises of the concern reached the normative level of stocks. Among them are Polotsk and Postavy dairy plants, Vitebsk, Glubokskoye, Miory meat processing plants, and other enterprises. Other producers are also actively working to reduce finished products. This process is complicated by the fact that dairy products account for a significant share of dairy product stocks - 34% (Br25.2 billion) - are canned milk, the supply of which to Russia is difficult due to the quota selection. Excluding this product, the stocks of enterprises in the dairy industry amount to Br38 billion, which is Br3.1 billion below the established norm. "Currently, the concern's dairy producers have sold the entire volume of butter and casein, and over the past week, they have sold 500 tons of milk powder and 171 tons of canned milk, and 350 tons of cheese. At the same time, the finished product stocks still include 1 ton of aged cheese, about 3.5 thousand tons of dairy products, and 16.8 thousand tons of canned milk," said Valentina Vishnevskaya.
A set of measures has been adopted and is being implemented by the concern to reduce warehouse stocks. One of the main priorities in work has been the diversification of sales markets. This year, the association's enterprises trade with 22 countries. For the first time, dairy products were supplied to Latvia, Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, India, and Mongolia. For example, one of the latest contracts signed is for the supply of 4 thousand tons of canned milk to the Republic of South Africa.
Contracts with South Africa for 1.5 thousand tons of milk powder, Venezuela for 300 tons, and Iran and France for 400 tons are currently being resolved and signed. Negotiations are underway with Kazakhstan on the supply of dairy products and the creation of joint ventures for their production. Opportunities to enter the markets of Armenia, Syria, Venezuela, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Vietnam, and Iran with whole and skimmed milk powder are being explored. Close cooperation has been established with embassies, through which product samples are sent to African, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries for certification in foreign laboratories and study of consumer demand. In addition, to increase the sales of their products, Vitebskmyasomolprom enterprises participate in various exhibitions and fairs, and organize tastings for consumers. To increase the recognition of products from Vitebsk manufacturers, a unified trademark has been developed, and its labeling is already underway.
In order to increase the efficiency of work in the domestic market, products are sold to individual entrepreneurs and small enterprises. In September alone (as of September 17), meat and dairy products worth Br10.9 billion have already been supplied to them, which is 19.3% of the total sales volume.
The state enterprise "Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" includes 8 dairy enterprises and 4 meat processing plants. -0-
