Dairy companies in the Vitebsk region need a unified strategy

Предприятиям молочной отрасли Витебской области необходима единая стратегия
Dairy industry enterprises in the Vitebsk region need a unified development strategy. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent, following a visit to the Polotsk Dairy Plant.

According to Nikolai Sherstnev, dairy plants face the same problem – overproduction. Previously, 50% of the output was exported. Now, considering the circumstances, producers need to find new sales markets for stable product realization, which in turn will guarantee steady revenue and work planning. "We have forgotten when our products were sold systematically and revenue was received. This disrupts the entire technological process. Therefore, so that each manager does not come up with something separate, a unified development strategy is needed. We need to look into this issue and make a prompt decision," emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev during his visit to the plant.

In his opinion, enterprise managers should jointly analyze the market, consider what equipment is needed for the future production of goods in demand in the near future, and work out the issue of specialization. "This is possible within one concern, the main thing is that the economy works and the product is competitive," noted the head of the region.

Nikolai Sherstnev noted that all dairy plants were built at the same time with the aim of supplying the population with products on a territorial basis. Then each of them was improved depending on demand. Polotsk dairy plant, for example, today produces about 70 types of products - everything that is in demand by consumers occupies a worthy place among the dairy producers of the Vitebsk region. "In general, all dairy processing in the region is modern today, meets the requirements of European and Russian veterinary and sanitary services," concluded the chairman of the regional executive committee.
