Chairman of «Belaya Rus» Gennady Davydko visited the Senno district on the eve of Victory Day

Председатель «Белой Руси» Геннадий Давыдько в преддверии Дня Победы посетил Сенненский район
On the eve of the Great Victory holiday, the chairman of the republican public association "Belaya Rus" Gennady Davydko visited his native Sennenshchina.

He met with the leadership of the district executive committee, laid flowers at the Alley of Glory and in the Park of Three Heroes, met with his cousin Nina Azerskaya and planted a rowan tree with her near the recently opened memorial complex "Pain", which is located near Popovka – Gennady Davydko's native village. Here, during the occupation, the Nazis shot more than a thousand Jews from Senno.

In a conversation with journalists, the head of "Belaya Rus" noted that a wide range of issues from the life of Sennenshchina were discussed at the meeting in the district executive committee: from the epidemiological situation to the socio-economic situation. Gennady Davydko reported that his organization is currently implementing a project under the working title "Portrait of a Region Against the Background of Time", which is designed to study and identify problems that concern people. He called the Vitebsk regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus" one of the best. To eliminate formalism in the structures, much depends on the executive authorities and the activity of members, and the role of the primary organization leader is increasing. The activity of "Belaya Rus" is primarily aimed at solving issues that are relevant to people, realizing their dreams and talents.

Touching upon the topic of his small homeland, Gennady Davydko said that every time he crosses the border of the Vitebsk region, he breathes differently. He often recalls how in his youth he collected stones in the fields, fished and swam in Lake Kulikovskoye. Then Senno was cozy and patriarchal. It remains so now, only it has acquired European features. He doesn't want to leave the city.
