At the Church of Jesus the Merciful, the head of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps met with Bishop of Vitebsk Oleg Butkevich and presented the hierarch with a bouquet of white roses.
— I thank you for praying for peace and harmony in our society and for the improvement of the situation related to the pandemic in Catholic churches, — said Vladimir Terentyev. — Today is the brightest holiday in Christianity. I am glad that the Church manages to provide what people seek in it – faith, hope, and love.
— Easter is an event that is the foundation of faith. Christ is risen – a truth that tells of a great event: the deliverance of man from sin, showing the way to eternal life, — noted Oleg Butkevich. — Despite the epidemiological situation, believers, observing safety measures, gathered in churches to hear the word of God and share the joyful news with each other – Christ is risen.
