Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko took part in a festive ceremony on the occasion of Knowledge Day in Dokshytsy
A good education allows a person to be in demand and confidently move through life. This was noted by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Vladimir Andreichenko, who today took part in the festive ceremony on the occasion of Knowledge Day at Secondary School No. 2 in Dokshitsy, Vitebsk region.
Vladimir Andreichenko drew the attention of the schoolchildren to the fact that they should study not to please their parents with good grades, but to acquire solid knowledge. Communicating with journalists after the celebration, the speaker noted that he remembers only the best about his school years. "But there is also a slight regret that at the time we underestimated the importance of acquiring knowledge, we missed something. Today's schoolchildren should understand that they are studying not for someone, but for themselves. It is necessary to gain knowledge in order to become a sought-after person and confidently move through life. A lot is being done in our country for this," he emphasized.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives noted that education is a priority of Belarus's state policy. "We understand that the country's economy, the well-being of our citizens, stability in society, and security in the state depend on the state of education. Therefore, great attention is paid to education issues. The President spoke about this at the Republican Pedagogical Council. Specific tasks were defined at the forum, and it is important that the deputies of the National Assembly also found their place in their implementation," said Vladimir Andreichenko.
He also noted that much has already been done by the deputies on issues of improving education. "A large number of legislative acts have been adopted concerning the development of education. In 2010, we codified all these laws and created a very solid document - the Code of Education. No country in the post-Soviet space has such a document," the speaker stated. Vladimir Andreichenko noted that active work is currently underway on a new version of the Code of Education. "We held parliamentary hearings. Our permanent
The Education Commission holds off-site meetings, consults directly with teachers and the public on the ground. Working group meetings are held. I think this work will allow us to create a very good, modern document in the very near future, which will contribute to the development of our country," the Chairman of the House of Representatives summarized.
At the festive assembly, he warmly congratulated pupils, teachers, and parents on the start of the new academic year, wished good luck to the graduates and success to the first-graders, of whom there are 52 at Secondary School No. 2 in Dokshytsy. The school received a television as a gift from the deputies of the National Assembly. After the festive assembly, Vladimir Andreichenko visited the school's classrooms and observed a lesson with the first-graders. The Speaker interacted with the children and teachers and presented the new schoolchildren with the President's gift - the book "Belarus - Our Motherland".
