Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko highly praised the achievements of the agrarians of the Verkhnedvinsk region
The Speaker emphasized that having visited the grain fields of one of the northernmost districts of the country, where the soil is not ideal for agricultural production, he was sincerely pleased with the success of the farmers.
"I am satisfied with what I saw in the fields. The harvest here started a bit late, but thanks to the adherence to technologies and the creative approach of people to their assigned work, especially the agronomic service, a good harvest has been grown in the district. I think there are all the opportunities to ensure a gross harvest at last year's level. Now, in the Verkhnedvinsk district, the yield is over 40 centners per hectare – this is an impressive indicator," he stated.
At the same time, Vladimir Andreichenko noted that the issue of fuel supply is acute in the Vitebsk region. "I visited farms in this district, and everywhere the fuel reserve is no more than 2 days – it is problematic to work in such conditions. This issue was discussed with the governor, he had a conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, and they are looking for solutions," said Vladimir Andreichenko.
In general, in the Vitebsk region, over 80 thousand hectares of grain crops have been harvested, or 21% of the grain fields, with more than 260 thousand tons of grain threshed, at a yield of 31.8 centners per hectare. The region is demonstrating a higher yield during the harvest than last year. Vladimir Andreichenko also visited the production workshops of OJSC "Inviet" in the village of Bigosovo, familiarized himself with the production technology, and discussed issues of expanding cooperation on a contractual basis and creating new technologies and production facilities. A meeting with the work collective was held.
