Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets met with media representatives on the occasion of the holidays for workers of the press, radio, television, and communications
Addressing the attendees, the head of the region noted that being a link between the authorities and the people, objectively reflecting all the realities of life, and events happening in the country and the world, is very difficult.
— You are forming a certain direction in the activities of the entire society, — said the governor. — You are not just observers of what is happening, but reliable assistants to the authorities. You not only convey information, but also shape the worldview of the people, educate society, enriching it morally and spiritually. But remember, the most important thing in the material is truth. It is necessary to reflect the real situation. To work in the interests of ordinary citizens.
During the meeting, the results of the regional media competition were summarized. The F. Skorina prizes were awarded to the editorial offices of the newspapers "Vitbichi" and "Vecherniy Vitebsk", "Patriot" (Ushachi), "Geroi Truda" (Shumilino), "Golas Siennenshchyny". The best reviewer was recognized as the deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Dnyaproŭskaja praŭda" and the radio broadcasting program "Dubrovenski radioviesnik" Andrey Kvira. And the most outstanding report in the media of the Vitebsk region, according to the competition jury, belongs to the correspondent of the Novopolotsk "Novaya Gazeta" Vladimir Fakeev. The "Vityaz" prize was received by the editorial office of the radio broadcasting program "Postavskoye Mestnoye Radio" and the television program "Postavy TV", the editorial office of the TV program "Vector TV" (Novopolotsk), the team of the TV project "Maya Belarus. Lyubimye vershy" of the "Vitebsk" TV and radio company.
They also did not forget about those thanks to whom printed publications reach people. The collectives of the Postavy District Postal Communication Unit, the Orsha District Telecommunication Unit, and the Lepel District Department of Vitebskoblsoyuzpechat were awarded Honorary Diplomas of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
The meeting between the governor and journalists concluded with an impromptu press conference. Alexander Nikolaevich answered questions concerning the sowing campaign in the region, the modernization of production facilities and dairy farms, and the training of young people for leadership positions... The upcoming Victory Day was also not overlooked. According to the governor, in anticipation of the holiday, veterans underwent medical examinations in the region, were provided with technical means of rehabilitation as needed, and organized treatment and health resort recovery. In addition, war participants in the Vitebsk region will receive financial assistance.
