Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin held a meeting with youth and the teaching staff of educational institutions of the region
– A tremendous amount of work has been done in the region to discuss the new draft of the Constitution, hundreds of dialogue platforms have been held, many proposals have been made, and some of them have been taken into account and included in the formatted draft. On the eve of the referendum, we are launching motivational events to explain to people why they need to come to the referendum and cast their vote, – said Alexander Subbotin. – This is truly a very important historical and political event in the life of our state. The situation around Belarus is escalating, and against this background, we have reached the need to amend the Basic Law, with which our children and grandchildren will have to live. Today, an audience has gathered here on whom a lot depends – these are teachers. It is they who determine where our youth will go, what ideas and thoughts will guide them. Representatives of the second most important, respected profession – doctors – are also present here. All of us need to mobilize for a good common goal, to live happily ever after.

The head of the region noted important proposed innovations in the Constitution – in particular, changes in the powers of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, proposals on citizens' personal responsibility to the state, adherence to a healthy lifestyle, preservation of Christian values, and the family as a union of a man and a woman.
