Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev congratulated the parents of triplets born in the regional center
The first triplets in Belarus this year were born in early February at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital to Margarita and Evgeny Malishevsky, who are already raising 7-year-old Varvara and 2-year-old Platon. This became a significant event for the entire region, as for several years only twins were born in the region. The joyous occasion brought together the husband of the new mother, their children, as well as guests - Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, member of the Council of the Republic Yury Derkach, and journalists who came to congratulate the large family.
"I am pleased to present these documents. From this moment on, they confirm that you are becoming a large family. Nikita was born first, then Vasilisa and Artem. Five children! Well done, congratulations," said Nikolai Sherstnev, presenting the birth certificates to Margarita Malishevskaya and her husband. The governor also reminded that the status of a large family is not only honorable and respected in Belarus but is also supported by certain social benefits. One of the most significant is the opportunity to improve housing conditions. As confirmation, he handed the couple a corresponding certificate, according to which they will receive new housing in November.
The head of the region also presented another gift certificate for a stroller for triplets to the father of the family, as the head of the household in terms of technical matters. "It turned out not to be so easy to find a stroller for three! We had to order it," Nikolai Sherstnev joked.
Gifts were also presented to the parents from the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, which is very proud of the fact that the mother of the triplets is a representative of their profession, a phthisiatrician.Nikolai Sherstnev wished the spouses that their example would become a good tradition for the entire Vitebsk region. "So that we have not just more parents, but more large families. The state is doing a lot for this today. Unfortunately, not many are ready to become a large family. You are great!" - added Nikolai Sherstnev.
In 2019, 9.5 thousand children were born in the Vitebsk region, including 102 sets of twins. January of this year pleased with the birth of 748 babies. At the same time, the Verkhnedvinsk district was marked by a baby boom, where 19 children were born in the first month of the year - almost twice as many as in January 2019.
