Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Shersnev: "The most valuable asset of the media is reputation"
Addressing the journalists, the head of the region noted that modern life is impossible to imagine without communications that form the information space. They occupy a dominant position in the real and virtual world.
– Technologies are becoming more sophisticated every year, the number of information channels is increasing, – said Nikolai Nikolaevich. – Life itself suggests new approaches and requirements for improving creative work. It is gratifying that the media community of the Vitebsk region is keeping pace with the times: it promptly responds to audience requests, seeks interesting forms of information delivery, identifies problems and talks about ways to solve them.
The head of the region emphasized that with the help of regional state media, it is necessary today to form a stable immunity in the population, including the younger generation, to modern challenges and threats, to teach critical thinking without succumbing to emotions. And for this, it is necessary to more intensively master the Internet space, disseminate objective and verified information, and provide reasonable arguments and reasoning.
– You have sufficient internal strength to assess the situation, see its deeper meaning, highlight the main points, and present them accessibly to the reader, viewer, or listener, – noted Nikolai Sherstnev, addressing the attendees. – The way society perceives and evaluates what is happening depends on this. And it is from such moments that the most valuable asset of the media is formed – reputation. Cherish this and prove your right to people's trust!
