Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee calls on officials to work conscientiously
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets calls on officials to work conscientiously. He made such a statement to journalists, assessing the direct telephone line with the region's residents held today, according to a BELTA correspondent.
The governor bitterly noted that many problems that people raised with him could have been resolved long ago by local executive committees. "We must punish local leaders for the fact that people are forced to go through offices dozens of times, to resolve pressing issues for years, and only after they appeal to the chairman of the regional executive committee is the issue resolved," he explained.
Alexander Kosinets is confident that indifference to others' problems in the work of civil servants is unacceptable. He demanded the strictest executive discipline from the entire vertical of local authorities, high-quality and conscientious performance of their official duties. "We must work not out of fear, but conscientiously," he emphasized.
33 people called the chairman of the regional executive committee during the direct telephone line. Mostly, they raised issues of housing and communal services, road improvement, and construction deadlines. There were also words of gratitude to the local authorities for their timely assistance.
