Dmitry Khoma was elected Chairman of the Regional Election Commission

On December 8, the first meeting of the regional election commission was held. Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, presented official certificates to the members of the election commission. The leadership was elected: Dmitry Khoma was unanimously elected Chairman of the regional commission, Gennady Filippenko was elected Deputy Chairman, and Svetlana Ilyushchenko was elected Secretary. A duty schedule was drawn up, and working hours were determined.

Each candidate who was included in the regional commission was presented in sufficient detail at a joint meeting of the presidium of the Regional Council of Deputies and the regional executive committee, Dmitry Khoma reported. After discussion, an open vote was held. Of the 13 commission members, 11 have experience working in the regional commission, and 2 are new members. All requirements of the Electoral Legislation regarding the composition of the commission have been met: among them are representatives of public organizations, political parties, and labor collectives.

– In accordance with the new version of the Constitution and the Electoral Code, a unified voting day will be held in our country, and for all of us, this is a rather demanding period. The commission includes experienced people, but certain novelties in the legislation will not give them a reason to relax; they will have to work hard, – said Dmitry Khoma, answering questions from media representatives. – Our task is to ensure that elections at all levels are held without any issues and that deputies of all levels are determined.
