The new Chairman of the Gorodok District Executive Committee has been introduced

The new head, Petr Korobach, was introduced at the session of the District Council of Deputies by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev.

Petr Korobach has proven himself to be a tactful, principled, and decent leader, capable of fulfilling the tasks assigned to him under difficult conditions. Gorodokshchina is an agricultural district, and Petr Petrovich has a strong agricultural background. He gained experience at the agricultural production cooperative "Olgovskoye" under such an authoritative specialist as Demiko Nadirashvili. Then, he successfully applied the acquired knowledge and his own developments in practice by heading the open joint-stock company "Vozrozhdeniye" of the Vitebsk district. This farm has long and glorious traditions, which the new director was able not only to preserve but also to multiply.

— This is a challenging district; its natural and climatic zone is not favorable for farmers, and industry is not developed here, — emphasized Nikolai Sherstnev. — At the same time, look at how the region has transformed in recent years: the tourism sector is actively developing, the agricultural industry is being modernized, and new productions are emerging. You, Petr Petrovich, will have to make every effort to maintain the positive momentum and ensure economic growth. There is no time to waste, but I am confident that your colleagues will support you. You can also count on all the necessary assistance from our side.

Nikolai Nikolaevich also thanked Vasily Murenkov, who headed the district for more than five years, for his work. During this time, Gorodok region managed to achieve considerable success in infrastructure development in the district center and in rural areas: thousands of square meters of housing were built, dozens of social, cultural, and sports facilities were commissioned and reconstructed, including a ski-roller track, bus and railway stations. Vasily Nikolaevich played a significant role in ensuring that the preparation of Gorodok for the regional festival ""Dazhynki-2014"" was carried out at a high level and on time.

Deputies of the district Council of Deputies unanimously supported the candidacy of Petr Korobach, nominated for the position of chairman of the district executive committee.
