Representatives from 10 countries will take part in the "Vitebsk Leaf Fall" festival
The prelude to the musical forum will be the opening of the exhibition-installation "Manifestation". The vernissage will take place the evening before – on October 19. In the central foyer of the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, where the works of Vitebsk authors will be displayed, the folk youth theater "Koleso" will present a light performance "Night... Rain... By the Face...". This performance will be repeated on other days of the festival – actors will greet spectators after each concert and escort them to the exit into the night city.
In recent years, "Vitebsk Listapad" has changed its format and is no longer just a bard festival. It is open to musicians, poets, artists, and performers. In addition to author's song, the competition program includes new sections: "Poetic Recitation" and "Poetry. Free Theme". Another innovation is the special prize "Recognition", which will be awarded to the winner among the laureates of all nominations.
Creative competitions will be held at the "Vitebsk" Center of Culture, and laureates, jury members, and guests will perform on the stage of the Concert Hall. Lovers of author's song are well acquainted with the names of Vyacheslav Kovalev from St. Petersburg, a laureate of the largest bard festival named after V. Grushin, and one of the organizers of the international forum "Petersburg Accord"; Ksenia Polteva from Moscow, a participant in world bard gatherings, poets, and musicians in Bulgaria, Spain, and Crimea; and Grigory Dansky from Moscow, the author of several song albums; and Vladimir Solyar from Riga, who will appear on the Vitebsk stage.
The organizers have tried to fill the program with diverse concerts. For example, one of them, titled "Vitebsk Tram", will be held in the genre of urban comedy, another – "For Friends – From Vitebsk" – will feature author's song clubs, and "Vitebsk Railway Station" will bring together all laureates and jury members. And, of course, there will be a gala concert with an award ceremony for the winners.
Ticket prices are affordable, and there is also an option to purchase a pass for all forum events. Its holders will be granted the right to attend the author's song and poetry competition, and as a bonus – to attend the evening program "For Friends – from Vitebsk," which will be held in a chamber format in the round hall of the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
