Representatives of Latvian business circles have shown interest in developing joint business projects in the Vitebsk region

At the initiative of UP "Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry", a business meeting was held in the conference hall of the "Luchesa" tourist and hotel complex with representatives of the business circles of Latvia, headed by the advisor of the trade and industrial chamber of Latvia Girts Kronbergs.

More than 20 leading enterprises of the Vitebsk region took part in it, including residents of the FEZ "Vitebsk", members of the NGO "Association of Employers and Entrepreneurs" and the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers, and other business circles.

The event was also attended by the head of the Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Vitebsk Uģis Skujiņš and the head of the transport and communications department of the regional executive committee Andrey Gulidin. The meeting was not organized by chance.

To enter the Latvian market, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of European legislation and certain certification requirements. Therefore

the topics of discussion included certification of own-produced goods and services, production according to EU standards; transport and warehousing services, exhibition organization; cooperation with woodworking enterprises.

After the negotiations and discussion of various mutual interests, the delegation of Latvian business circles visited OJSC "Vitebskdrev", where they familiarized themselves with the company's products. Summarizing the event, both sides noted that there is a mutual interest, which will be the beginning of further joint promising projects, will strengthen trade and economic cooperation, and will make business ties more reliable.
