Representatives of diplomatic missions and business circles from various countries gathered in Orsha to discuss cooperation prospects
Orsha has become the center of business activity and business initiative implementation for four days. The 5th International Economic Forum and the 6th Republican Universal Exhibition Fair "Orshanskiye Traditsii" opened here yesterday.
This year, representatives of diplomatic missions and business circles from Kyrgyzstan, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, and more than 80 enterprises from Belarus and Russia arrived. The Orsha District Executive Committee and the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry acted as organizers of this significant event for the Pridvinye region.
Welcoming the guests and participants of the forum, the Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, Svyatoslav Zarovsky, emphasized that the experience of developing the region's economy shows that an investment project without an innovative component may be unpromising today.
"We consider any dialogue with domestic and foreign investors on the principles of mutually beneficial partnership," added Svyatoslav Anatolyevich, "we are interested in constructive cooperation and are capable of providing comprehensive support to projects aimed at attracting advanced technologies."
"Such a representative level of participants and their number indicate a high level of trust and authority of the event," noted Lyudmila Dobrynina, Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Budget and Finance. "This is a serious platform for discussing and implementing joint initiatives. And the "Orshanskiye Traditsii" fair-exhibition will once again introduce guests to the potential and business opportunities of both the Pridvinye region and the country as a whole."
Participants of the solemn opening ceremony of the forum on the territory of the Ice Arena planted a memorial alley, each tree of which symbolizes friendship between partner regions.
The experience and prospects of cooperation with the regions of the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed by the forum participants at the plenary session, where Vitebsk region, Pskov and Ivanovo regions, the city of Smolensk, Vyazemsky and Kardymovsky districts presented their investment potential.districts of the Russian Federation.
An important event of the day was the signing of the Agreement on the main directions of cooperation between the municipal formation of the city district of Ivanovo and the Orsha district by the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Nikolay Lisovsky and the Chairman of the Ivanovo City Duma Alexander Kuzmichev.
