Representatives of Polotsk State University took 3rd place at the Belarusian-Chinese Youth Robotics Tournament

The competition was held at the Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth and the Brest State Technical University (BSTU). Teams from 4 universities from the Celestial Empire, including Harbin Institute of Technology and Shenyang Aerospace University, 4 Belarusian universities, and the Republican Center for Innovation and Technology took part in it.

Several qualifying rounds, three days, and two stages were needed for the best students from two countries to test their strength in "Robo-Races," somewhat resembling a mini-version of Formula 1, and to compete in the "Space Exploration" category, where robots were evaluated for speed and agility in collecting "minerals" and delivering them to the "base."

It is gratifying to note that the representatives of Pridvinye were not intimidated by the serious competition and performed with dignity. And, considering that part of the test program was initiated by the Chinese side, and, naturally, the foreign students were more prepared and "armed" with various auxiliary devices, the path to victory was thorny. However, the team of the radio engineering faculty of Polotsk State University, under the leadership of Valery Chertkov, senior lecturer at the Department of Radio Electronics, brilliantly passed all qualifying stages and won 3rd place in the "Space Exploration" category.

The Belarusian-Chinese Youth Robotics Tournament was held under the patronage of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education of Belarus.
