Representatives of Vitebsk region were recognized at the "Doctor of the Year of the Republic of Belarus-2017" competition

Traditionally, festive events dedicated to Medical Worker's Day were held everywhere. Those who achieved the most significant results in their professional activities were awarded honorary diplomas and titles, and everyone expressed gratitude for their work for the health of our people. The award ceremony for the laureates of the "Doctor of the Year of the Republic of Belarus-2017" competition took place on June 14 at the Palace of the Republic in the capital.

We will name only a few from the large list of recognized merits. The laureate of the republican competition "Doctor of the Year" in her nomination was an obstetrician-gynecologist of the Vitebsk Regional Maternity Hospital, Lyudmila Matveeva. The chief physician of the regional endocrinology dispensary, Lyudmila Pedchenets, was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Council of Ministers of Belarus. The "Excellent Healthcare Professional of the Republic of Belarus" badge was awarded to the head of the surgical department of the regional clinical hospital, Evgeny Ukrainets, the deputy chief physician for pediatrics of the regional children's clinical center, Irina Yunes, the pharmacist-analyst of Vitebsk RUP "Farmatsiya", Elena Larchenko, the head of the department of psychiatry and narcology, Andrey Kirichenko, and the dean of the faculty for training foreign students of VSMU, Oleg Vasiliev, the head of the department for organizing medical care of the main department for healthcare of the regional executive committee, Elena Tishina, and others.

Among those awarded Honorary Diplomas of the Ministry of Health are the head of the department of pathological physiology, Lyudmila Belyaeva, and professor of the department of hospital surgery of VSMU, Vladimir Kosinets, the head of the anesthesiology and intensive care department of Sennenskaya CRB, Viktor Ksenzov, the head of the department of the regional center for hygiene, epidemiology and public health, Nina Mukhvich, and others.
