Representatives of Belarus at the children's competition of "Slavianski Bazaar" will perform in the first ten

July 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Representatives of Belarus at the VIII International Children's Competition "Vitebsk-2010" of the XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will perform in the first ten, a BELTA correspondent reports from the participants' draw ceremony. On the first competition day, July 8, Zlata Larchenko will sing the song "Zhuravinka" under number eight, and will take the stage for the second time seventh with her own composition "Baba-Yozhka.by". Anna Zaitseva will perform under numbers 9 and 6, respectively. She will present the songs "Lyatsitsye, maye kryly" and "A maybe a crow" to the jury and the audience. Milana from Uzbekistan will open the competition with the first performance of young artists, and Olga Timoshenko from Ukraine will open the second. The last to take the stage these days will be Gabija from Lithuania and Artur Ryzhak, a contestant from Ukraine. Dennis from the Netherlands and Nikita Khripushin from Russia will sing their compositions under number 13. The competition also featured the magic of numbers: identical performance numbers - 10 and 11 - were assigned to Michaela Tatarchuk (Moldova) and Liza Nikvashvili (Georgia). However, drawing a favorite number to bring luck is not enough. It is important to be prepared and work hard, emphasized the Belarusian contestants in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent. The girls feel calm and believe in their strengths: Anya practiced music daily during her preparation for the competition, and Zlata recently won first place at the "Crimean Waves" International Festival in Feodosia (Ukraine) in the 10-13 age category. The draw ceremony was accompanied by small performances by young stars, each of whom demonstrated excellent vocal abilities. The jury members will have to make a difficult choice. This opinion was also expressed by the chairman of the international jury, famous Romanian composer Nicolae Caragia. "Only well-prepared children come to the competition in Vitebsk, so it gets better year after year, preserving its traditions," he emphasized. The VIII International Children's Competition "Vitebsk-2010" will be held from July 8 to 10. This year, it is attended by 22 representatives from 19 countries. Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, according to the competition rules, are represented by two contestants each. The competition is designed to popularize children's musical creativity, identify young talented performers, promote the creation of new modern works for children and youth, and cultivate the artistic taste of young artists. -0-
