A new official Internet portal of the President of Belarus has been presented

The new official Internet portal of the President of the Republic of Belarus was presented by the press service of the Belarusian leader on February 9. It was developed by domestic IT specialists

Modern international experience, best domestic developments and technical solutions in the field of web design were used in the creation of the site.

The structure of the site has been fundamentally reworked. New pages and sections have appeared. Navigation on the updated portal is convenient and intuitive. The search system has also been improved and significantly expanded for the convenience of site visitors.

The site is adapted for various devices, in particular for smartphones and tablets. For easier access, the user can download the "icon" directly on the portal and subsequently access the site with just one click. The new version of the portal also supports the advanced "progressive web app" (PWA) technology, which allows for more reliable and faster access to the portal.

The portal is created using three language versions: Russian, Belarusian, and English. As before, a version for visually impaired users is available.

As for the content and filling of the site, traditionally, it is based on information about the current activities of the President of the Republic of Belarus. On the main page, in a calendar format, the user can familiarize themselves with the most relevant events of the head of state's working week – clearly and as quickly as possible. And of course, as before, the most important regulatory legal acts adopted by the head of state will be posted on the presidential website.

A truly unique archive has been formed on the new website – the most important events from the head of state's work schedule, starting from 1994. Many of the posted materials have not been published before. Of particular interest are archival photographs and videos from the years of Alexander Lukashenko's work in the main state post. They allow us to visually trace the formation and development of sovereign Belarus, the path our country has taken over the years of independence.

Another important update: the website's technical capabilities now allow for live streaming of key events involving the head of state.

Overall, the portal places a special emphasis on its multimedia component. Photo and video content, as internet audience query analysis shows, is of high interest. Now, multimedia content on the President's website is available in a much larger volume and, importantly, in high quality. For example, in the special new section "Photos for the Press," media representatives can download current photographs and the official portrait of the head of state, as well as photos from key events, in high resolution. They can be used without prior approval from the press service of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

One of the most striking updates is the "President Without a Tie" section. It features the most exclusive materials. This section allows users to get a closer look at the life of the Belarusian leader outside of strict protocol settings. It contains materials about the President, his family, and his homeland, as well as a wealth of other diverse information – from sports hobbies and household farming to informal events the President has participated in.

Another "highlight" of the portal is a virtual tour of the Palace of Independence. Without leaving home, a website visitor has a unique opportunity to visit the President's residence and see the halls where numerous international events and meetings are held, pressing issues are discussed, and the most important decisions of the domestic agenda are made.

The "Belarus" section has also become significantly more extensive. It is designed primarily for foreign users, who will have the opportunity to receive concentrated information about our country in a wide range of areas. It contains up-to-date information on socio-economic and regional development, science, tourism, the current year's themes, and much more.

As a feedback channel with citizens, the well-established "Letter to the President" section will retain its position on the website, through which everyone can send their appeals and proposals to the Head of State.

The website developers have not overlooked the country's young citizens. The "President for Children" section contains educational adapted information about the state structure, symbols, the Constitution, the history of Belarus, and children's rights. Here, young users will also be advised on how to become President.

It should be noted that no budget funds were used in the creation of the new internet portal. The work was carried out at the expense of the Hi-Tech Park.
