The 2010 Government of Belarus Prizes for Achievements in Quality were awarded to 20 organizations

The 2010 Government of the Republic of Belarus Quality Awards were presented today to twenty enterprises and organizations by First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko, BelTA has learned. The award is granted for the implementation of highly effective quality management methods and the subsequent production of competitive products (provision of services). The award laureates are: the state institution "Republican Research and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology" (Gomel), ZAO "Molodechnomebel", the republican unitary enterprise for scientific and production "Belgaztechnika" (Minsk), OOO "Plant of Automotive Trailers and Bodies "MAZ-Kupava" (Minsk), OAO "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant", OAO "Grodno Meat Packing Plant", OAO "Mogilevkhimvolokno", OAO "Mozyr Oil Refinery", OAO "Molochy Mir" (Grodno), OAO "Orsha Machine-Tool Plant "Krasny Borets", OAO "Prodovary" (Brest), OAO "Savushkin Product" (Brest), PRUP "Belarusian Cement Plant" (Kostyukovichi), RUP "Rechitsa Metalware Plant", the republican unitary enterprise of telecommunications "Beltelecom" (Minsk), SP ZAO "International Business Alliance" (Minsk), SP ZAO "Milavitsa" (Minsk), the branch of the locomotive depot of Lida of the transport republican unitary enterprise "Baranovichi Branch of Belarusian Railways", the educational institution "Belarusian State Technological University" (Minsk), the educational institution "Grodno State University named after Yanka Kupala". In addition, the diplomas of the 2010 Government of the Republic of Belarus Quality Award competition were awarded to OAO "Brest Electrotechnical Plant", RUP "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agricultural Mechanization" (Minsk), the republican unitary enterprise for engineering surveys, design of highways, airfields and artificial structures on them "Belgiprodor" (Minsk). Organizations that participated in the 2010 competition, were laureates of the 2005-2007 competitions, confirmed a high level of quality of products, services and production management, and did not become winners of the 2010 competition held in the Year of Quality, are also granted the right to use the image of the emblem of the Government of Belarus Quality Award in product marking, documentation, and advertising for two years. This right was granted to 20 enterprises. These are the Belarusian-Russian joint venture "Brestgazapparat" OAO, KUP "City Dairy Plant No. 1" (Minsk), OAO "AGAT-Control Systems" (Minsk), OAO "Belarusian Automobile Plant" (Zhodino), OAO "Berezovsky Meat Canning Plant", OAO "Brest Hosiery Mill", OAO "Brest Electrotechnical Plant", OAO "Vitebsk Carpets", OAO "Kobrin Dairy and Cheese Plant", OAO "Komintern" (Gomel), OAO "KrasnoselskstroyMaterials", OAO "Lenta" (Mogilev), OAO "Minsk Motor Plant", OAO "Minskzhelezobeton", OAO "Pinsk Meat Packing Plant", OAO "Postavy Dairy Plant", OAO "Svitanak" (Zhodino), RUP "Hotel Complex "Yubileiny" (Minsk), SOAO "Kommunarka" (Minsk), the branch "Jewelry Plant" of the republican unitary enterprise for diamond processing "Gomel Production Association "Kristall". The competition for the Government Quality Award is held annually in Belarus in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of November 5, 1998, No. 1705. From 1999 to 2009, more than 170 organizations from various industries and service sectors became laureates of the award. -0-
