Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov visited the city-forming enterprises of the Tolochin district

Премьер-министр Беларуси Андрей Кобяков посетил градообразующие предприятия Толочинского района

Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov familiarized himself with the work of two enterprises in the Tolochin district last Saturday. He was accompanied on the trip by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Nikolai Sherstnev. During his visit to RUP "Tolochin Cannery" Andrei Kobyakov focused on the implementation of the instructions of the head of state and the government on the modernization of potato, fruit and vegetable storage facilities.

Tolochin Cannery is a modern, dynamically developing enterprise. According to the results of work in 2014, a net profit of 11.2 billion rubles was obtained. The profitability of realized products, goods, works, and services was 13.6%. The plant aims to create an integration structure for the production, storage, processing, and sale of products. In particular, the second stage of the potato storage facility has been commissioned, work on the installation and assembly of equipment for bottling natural juices is ongoing, design and estimate documentation for the construction of a quick-freezing potato workshop has been prepared, and a number of commercial projects have been prepared for implementation. In 2014 alone, 72.3 billion rubles of investments were mastered. The enterprise is also strengthening its own raw material base, with 7572 hectares of agricultural land in permanent use, most of which are arable lands.

– Production is growing; last year we harvested twice as many apples as the year before last. Their taste qualities are high, so there are no problems with sales. In 2014, 900 tons were sold to Russia, mainly to St. Petersburg and Moscow. We could have sold more. Today, we are held back by a shortage of storage facilities. They are designed for 2.4 thousand tons, but we harvested 3.5 thousand. There is a pressing need to build new modern facilities where apples and pears can be stored until the new harvest, – explains the plant director Anatoly Anyukhovsky.

Andrei Kobyakov noted that the enterprise has created a strong foundation for production development, including with the financial assistance of the state. But now it is necessary to attract commercial structures more, in particular, to the construction of storage facilities. It is also necessary to properly organize logistics and supply the market with goods with minimal costs and maximum benefit for the producer.

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, added: from St. Petersburg, where the strongest logistics centers operate, Tolochin apples are distributed throughout Russia, and Belarusian firms are also involved as carriers.

– There will be no more state funding, – emphasized the head of government and drew the attention of the enterprise management to reducing the cost price of products and production costs.

Separately, the issue of increasing the production of natural berry wines and their sale in the country's retail chains was raised. Currently, the new bottling line is operating at only 10% of its capacity. In terms of quality, the products of the Tolochin plant are not inferior to similar imported ones, and in some parameters, they even surpass them. With competent promotion, they will be in demand in the market. According to Andrei Kobyakov, this could be another untapped reserve for further development.

At the company «Kokhanovsky Pipe Plant «Beltrubplast» , the Head of Government noted the company's focus on implementing innovative technologies and producing import-substituting products. The challenge is that competitors have a head start in time, and according to Nikolai Sherstnev, we need to act faster to keep up.

The plant specializes in the production of smooth polyethylene pipes (for drinking water, gas, technical purposes), fittings and couplings for pipelines, hydraulic tools for mounting «heating» pipes, and ladders for wells. In a short period, the production of innovative products, which have no analogues in Belarus and neighboring countries, has been mastered here – compression fittings. In total, more than 3 thousand items are produced here, with supplies going to both domestic and foreign markets. Pipes from Kokhanovo are also in demand for the construction of the Belarusian NPP. The plant has created a waste-free production process. So-called technological defects are used to produce pipes for the needs of housing and communal services and agriculture.

Andrei Kobyakov noted that the plant has a sufficiently energetic team, and new projects are implemented here every year. The products are widely used in sewage systems. Today, the enterprise is ready to produce pipes for local treatment facilities, the purchase of which Belarus spends currency on abroad.

Among the promising projects is a technology for the rehabilitation and cleaning of large-diameter pipes without dismantling or excavating them, and in some cases, without interrupting network operation. Such rehabilitation ensures a warranty service life of up to 50 years. The government, according to the Prime Minister, will consider the possibility of supporting "Beltrubplast" in the implementation of innovative technologies.
