The transformation and creation of regional media holdings were discussed in Vitebsk
"Using the example of the newspapers of the Vitebsk region, we will try to analyze how the process of transformation and construction of regional media holdings is going. These are consolidated editorial offices, where editorial offices are joined to a regional or larger newspaper, in which it is difficult to implement all the most modern trends that exist in traditional media, new media - this is design, layout, work on the Internet, social networks, messengers. Unfortunately, not everyone succeeds in this 100%, but this is also a result. We will try to show how this can be done using positive cases, and analyze the aspects that not everyone succeeds in," said Minister of Information Vladimir Pertsov before the collegium meeting. PERTSOV ON MEDIA HOLDINGS: THEY MEET TODAY'S CHALLENGES
He added that the creation of media holdings is topic number 1 for representatives of the regional press, who are concerned about the fate of regional media in an era of strong transformation, information warfare and confrontation that Belarus is experiencing from unfriendly countries.
Vladimir Pertsov
Vladimir Pertsov called on the participants of the field meeting to engage in open dialogue, during which he proposed to voice the existing problems on the ground in order to jointly find solutions. Representatives of district editorial offices, who have already joined the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti", shared their work experience, and during the discussion, the attendees discussed the prospects of the existing media holding.
Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, who took part in the meeting of the Ministry of Information collegium, addressing the journalists, noted the importance of their profession. "You are at the forefront of everything - any events, actions, activities. And how you prepare the agenda with your reports and news depends by 50% on how this event will proceed," emphasized the head of the region.
He agreed with Vladimir Pertsov's opinion that media holdings are important and necessary, as even within the same region, districts differ from each other. In the future, according to him, this difference may benefit the development of regional press, as colleagues will help each other find new approaches to presenting information and will work for a common cause.
The field meeting was also attended by heads and representatives of republican state administration bodies, heads of departments and administrations for ideological work and youth affairs, and chief editors of regional and district newspapers of the Vitebsk region.
