President on the coronavirus situation in Belarus: the situation is difficult, but under control
The President announced this today in Vitebsk at a meeting of the regional headquarters for combating coronavirus infection. Speaking about the purpose of his visit, Alexander Lukashenko noted that he wants to personally verify the real situation on the ground with the treatment of people in general and coronavirus patients in particular.
– We have accumulated our own experience in combating this evil, – noted Alexander Lukashenko. – We have learned to treat people. Therefore, the second question is: what is lacking in the Vitebsk region for treating people, primarily with COVID-19? The situation in the world is very tense, if not more. The situation in Belarus is also not simple. There is a phrase that we all utter: the situation is not simple, but under control.
As for the Vitebsk region, the Head of State emphasized that there is no critical situation and there should not be. Just like in the country as a whole. Alexander Lukashenko cited the following figures:
– Today, about 500 artificial lung ventilation devices are in use in the country. And we can deploy 2.5 thousand. We have plenty of ventilators in the segmentToday. We will do everything possible to ensure that our patients do not feel this deficit.
During the first wave of the pandemic, the organizational headquarters, which were created in the regions by the President's order, proved themselves well.
– Therefore, in this second wave, I followed the same path, and a month ago, regional headquarters and the republican headquarters under the Ministry of Health, headed by the minister, were recreated, – said Alexander Lukashenko. – They organize treatment, the supply of protective equipment for doctors and patients, the supply ofe лекарств с запасом.
