The President congratulated the Vitebsk State Technological University on its 50th anniversary

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the staff of the Vitebsk State Technological University on the 50th anniversary of the university's founding, according to the press service of the Belarusian leader. The Head of State noted that the university makes a significant contribution to the training of qualified personnel in demand by the domestic economy. Over half a century, more than 36,000 specialists have graduated from its walls, who successfully work at enterprises of the republic and in state administration bodies.

"The achievements of the university's staff and graduates are known not only in Belarus but also far beyond its borders. The developments of your university's scientists are successfully implemented in production, and participation in the recreation of the technology for making Slutsk belts has served to preserve and multiply national traditions," the congratulatory message reads.

The President expressed confidence that the university's staff will continue to work productively for the development of education and the country's scientific potential.
