The Presidential Sports Club congratulated the pupils of the orphanage in Vitebsk on the upcoming Christmas

A master class in ice skating, a bright festive show, and memorable souvenirs were presented by representatives of the Presidential Sports Club to the pupils of the Vitebsk orphanage on the eve of Christmas.
The pre-Christmas days were bright and unforgettable for the children being raised in the Vitebsk orphanage. Together with the hockey team of the Presidential Sports Club, the boys and girls visited the Sports Palace in the regional center, with some of the children being there for the first time. An excursion, a colorful photo zone, mascot costumes, and most importantly – interaction with the famous ice hockey team. On this day, the children were able not only to chat about life with those they had only seen on television but also to skate side-by-side on the ice arena. There were also some falls, especially for those who were skating for the first time. This happened to Yevgeny Stasko. "It was a little nerve-wracking at first, I even fell once while skating, but they helped me up and supported me. Everything turned out great. I love sports in general, I play football, I used to be into parkour, my friends went to competitions, and I just did it for self-development. In the future, I hope to be friends with sports too," the young man shared.
Unlike him, Ekaterina Biryuk, who professionally practices cycling, is already familiar with skates. She had no difficulty performing some figures on the slippery arena and noted that the atmosphere in the sports palace was many degrees warmer than the frozen ice under her feet.
After an active skating session, the athletes and hockey players visited a children's home, where a fun pirate show was organized for all the residents. The boys and girls battled the Kraken, played "edible-inedible," sailed a boat, and helped steer a pirate ship, solved riddles, and participated in entertaining interactive games.
The Christmas tradition is the most heartfelt project of the Presidential Sports Club. The charity event was first held in 2013. Its participants gathered to give children in difficult situations a bit of Christmas magic and warmth.
In Vitebsk, the team brought developmental complexes for the children (these are aids for specialists in child development, taking into account their individual needs), as well as sports equipment – football boots, skates, bicycles, scooters, and swimming pool equipment. The Presidential Sports Club also traditionally provided financial assistance to the institution, which was used to purchase necessary equipment.

"The Presidential Sports Club visits such institutions every year on the eve of Christmas. We try to give at least minimal attention to the children, we try to organize a holiday for them. This includes gifts and communication. We all understand that there can never be too much love. It is not just our duty, but our inner desire to give what we can, to share our emotions and love with children who need it. Children always react sincerely to such meetings, they cannot be deceived, they are always happy about such a small celebration that we try to bring into their lives," shared hockey player Yaroslav Chupris, who, along with his teammates, visited the children in Vitebsk.
