More attention will be paid to road repairs in preparation for the regional "Dazhynki" - Nikolai Sherstnev

In the Vitebsk region, the scope of road works will be increased in preparation for the upcoming regional festival "Dazhynki" in the following settlements. This was announced today at a press conference dedicated to the holding of this festival in Verkhnedvinsk on September 28 by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev.

Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized the enormous social burden carried by the festival: thorough preparations are underway, and many facilities are being constructed and reconstructed. "We will continue this work. However, it is necessary to put in order not only the city itself but also district roads. Therefore, when preparing for the next festival, we will consider increasing the scope of road works," the governor stressed. The preparation of the city hosting "Dazhynki" is carried out in advance.

"We plan the scope of work three years in advance to consistently implement the plans, not just for show: to prepare design and estimate documentation, conduct tenders, replace utilities, and put facilities in order, as in Verkhnedvinsk. This is a tremendous amount of work," stated Nikolai Sherstnev.

The head of the region also noted that the main result of this labor is the creation of a comfortable basis for life, and the task of local authorities is to attract investors who will create jobs. "Then, comprehensively, we will create conditions under which young people will stay," Nikolai Sherstnev is convinced.
