A retired couple died in a fire in the Vitebsk region

A couple of pensioners died in a fire in the Vitebsk region, the press secretary of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Marina Fando, told a BELTA correspondent. The tragedy occurred in one of the private houses in the village of Andronovichi. The fire was spotted by local residents living nearby, who then called rescuers. After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of the deceased homeowner, born in 1926, and his wife, born in 1934, were found in the house. The cause of the fire was a violation of electrical equipment operating rules. As established during the investigation, the pensioners used two fan heaters for heating, which were also connected with violations.-0-
