Pridvinsk athletes Vladislav Goncharov, Andrey Pranevich, and their coaches Olga Vlasova and Viktor Shershukov were awarded the Order of the Fatherland, III degree
President of Belarus
Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on awarding athletes and coaches who have made
a significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports. It is gratifying that
among those awarded the Order of the Fatherland, III degree, there are representatives of our
region.
These include Vitebsk trampoline gymnast Vladislav Goncharov, who won Olympic "gold" in Rio de Janeiro, and his mentor, the head coach of the national team, Olga Vlasova; Polotsk resident Andrei Pranevich, who won Paralympic Games in fencing; and the senior coach of the Belarusian Olympic weightlifting team, Novopolotsk resident Viktor Shershukov.
